"It is estimated that 80% of dogs have some form of oral health disease by the age of 2"

Dental disease (tooth and gum) is one of the most common health problems experienced by dogs and is sadly still very overlooked. Poor dental hygiene causes bad breath, tartar build up, red and inflamed gums and discoloured or loose teeth. This can lead to chronic pain, infections, eating difficulties, weight loss, drooling, behavioural changes and in extreme cases, tooth loss and jaw fractures. Additionally, in dogs with severe dental disease, bacteria from oral infections can enter the bloodstream affecting organs such as the liver, kidneys and heart, potentially leading to serious health complications such as organ failure.

What is Emmi-pet and how it works -

The Emmi-pet toothbrush was created in Germany, it uses patented ultrasonic technology to naturally clean and protect your dogs teeth.

The Emmi-pet toothbrush is completely silent, does not vibrate and is non-invasive. The toothbrush can be gently held against your dog's teeth, whilst the ultrasound gets to work!

The Emmi-pet has piezo chip in the brush head which creates up to 96 million air oscillations per minute. When these ultrasound waves are mixed with water and the specially designed toothpaste, millions of nano bubbles are created. These nano bubbles implode on each other creating a suction effect which removes impurities, plaque and tartar and kills germs and bacteria.

Benefits of Emmi-pet -

Ultrasonic teeth cleaning effectively combats gingivitis and periodontitis, oral cavity disease, plaque and tartar build up and bad breath. Emmi-pet is gentle and non-invasive, thus suitable for nervous dogs and dogs of all ages.

When should Emmi-pet not be used -

Emmi-pet ultrasonic teeth cleaning is a PREVENTATIVE measure and should only be used on mild to moderate cases of oral disease (Stages 1 and 2). If your dog has severe dental hygiene problems (Stage 3 and 4 oral disease), a veterinary referral will be advised before any treatment can be carried out.
